Spanish term or phrase: linternilla
This is a report on the restoration of a church in Mexico, where the the "linternilla" is not always the same element. In the first instance – restauración de la cúpula principal, tambor, linternilla y cupulino – I want to say “restoration of the main dome, drum, lantern and cupola” – but could this also be called a “lantern tower”? Later in the same document, there is a “linternilla de bautisterio” and “linternilla del cubo de la escalera” – which is clearly some kind of light fixture, and not the same as a lantern tower on the dome. Any suggestsions?

Thanks, Phil. Sometimes all we need is a nudge in the right direction, but it can make all the difference! I'm going to enter it into the glossary with the addition of "roof lantern."
