Thanks for any help colleagues can offer with this term: it refers to a way of connecting a facility to the electricity grid using a connection that "taps" into an existing connection, as in schema 4 of this document -- http://www.rte-france.com/uploads/Mediatheque_docs/offres_se...

Does anyone know if there's an equivalent term used in English for this type of connection to an electricity grid? Many thanks for your assistance!

This is certainly a term we would use in ordinary electrical installations; I am not, however, sure if this same temr is used in a 'grid distribution'-type context, as here.
