Dear colleagues, I am translating a vocational training certificate and "corso libero" is in the following sentence: "xxx ha frequentato un corso libero di: operatore - programmatore ed ha superato l'esame finale con punti ..."
I think that "libero" in this case means open to anybody, without the need of specific requirements (diplomas, certificates and the like) but I am not at all sure; my research through Proz glossaries has not given the hoped-for outcome.
