French term or phrase: wagon du train
This is on a job application. I'm thinking this is some sort of "corporate speak" (?). Would this be translated literally?

Cela s’est reflété dans les projets que j’ai pris en charge (steward du ***wagon « employment and pension » du train*** depuis 2010, développement du know-how du département (modèles et arborescence), 3 projets senior (know-how, recrutement, train), présentation au welcome day) ainsi que dans les initiatives auxquelles j’ai participé.

the "employment and pension" portion of the project (?)
or should it be literal:
the "employment and pension" car of the train (?)

aspects of the programme / programme elements
Explanation:
If it's a programme, put: head of the "employment and pensions" aspects of the programme. Note that pension should have an "s" at the end of it. Alternatively you can put head of the "employment and pensions" (programme) elements. Finally, you can just repeat "projects", as that is what he is referring to: head of the "e and p" projects.

Explanation:
The train metaphor doesn't work in English, so this could be an alternative.

Explanation:
Dans la phrase originale, le terme "wagon du train" semble signifier "volet", par exemple, stewart (responsable) du volet «employment and pension», ou volet peut être traduit par un des termes énoncées, selon le contexte.

"I do not understand why he is being given such a thin portfolio."

"It is for that reason that I recommend to you that you give some thought to expanding this portfolio and including within it not only multilingualism, but also the protection of minorities in general."

"I believe, therefore, that it is a highly important portfolio that will be entrusted to Mr Orban as soon as his candidacy has been approved."

neutral  B D Finch: This misses a key point about a train, which is that the carriages are coupled together and if one is uncoupled, all the carriages behind it fall off the train too.

-> Oddly, when you read it in context with the start of the sentence, this wagon seems to be referring to a project in it's own right. It could be the author wanted to feature his creative writing skills, but I'm not sure I would say he was successful.
