Hola, a todos, estoy traduciendo un documento sobre uno de los primeros astronautas estadounidenses en llegar a la luna, y esta es la transcripción de lo que dijo cuando estaba en el cohete:
“This is Freedom 7. The fuel is go. 1.2 G. Cabin at 14 PSI. Oxygen is go.”

La G seguramente sea una medida, pero no sé cual, y PSI tiene que ver con la presión en la cabina, creo.

Hola,

Los cohetes no son lo mío, pero los aviones SÍ. Esta dando a "torre" (en este caso a control de Cabo Cañaveral, supongo) el estado del "Libertad 7".

Es lo mismo que en aeronáutica, G es la fuerza a soportar (9 G en avión lo soporta muuuuuuuuuuuuuuy poquita gente, y cuando la cosa está así, mejor que te "la pegues" :-) ) y los PSI son PSI, es una medida de presión que también se queda igual, es libra-fuerza por pulgada cuadrada, (pounds-force per square inch).

Suerte, suena entretenido
