Perhpas the clue lies in the use of "ces repères" not "ses repères". Or at least, it would normally be the clue. In fact, here, it probably amounts to the same thing. Two possibe readings remain, depedning on how you breathe (virtual "comfort" comma) :
- elle nous emmène dans ces repères (,) de formes torsadées... (the artist brings twisted forms into the surroundings, or
- elle nous emmène dans ces repères (qui constituent) de formes torsadées... (the surroundings are twisted.

I tend towards the first reading, where the artist's work (the twisted forms) represent/create/surround the space where etc. (It would be helpful to use the "où" if you can, by the way.

Do you mean that the twisted sculptures are characteristic of the sculptor's style or that the twisted pieces in some way mark the boundaries of the open space where an event takes place?
