French term or phrase: sous-minée
La peau est complètement sous-minée de part et d’autre de façon à obtenir un lambeau cutané supérieur et inférieur. Operating protocol document in French Canadian. Looking specifically at sous-minee, thinking maybe "taken from deep on both sides" or "taken from below on both sides". Any suggestions welcome at this stage! Thanks.

disagree  Michael Barnett: Undermining is a specific type of dissection. To translate sous-minee as "dissection" would cause the loss of essential detail.//To swerve a car is not the same as to turn a car. To press a key is not the same as to pound a key. "Undermine" is common term

-> Not on this one Michael since the dissection is explained in the rest of the sentence and as you said it IS a type of dissection.
