German term or phrase: Mandat
This word always gives me trouble. Here it is in two contexts of a document I'm translating about an asset management firm:

Under "Firmenprofil," the following headings are listed:

"Schweizer Franken Mandate
Euro Mandate"

And further on, this phrase:

"Jahresrendite der Mandate über 5 Jahre:"

I've consulted dictionaries and Proz discussions, but the word seems to always mean "appointment" or "authority to operate." That doesn't make sense to me here. And this is a Swiss document.

Could someone explain to me exactly what is meant here?

Many thanks in advance.

Having read Barbara's comments to my answer, I now think that "managed portfolios", as proposed by Daniel, is better than my own answer.
