property development Explanation: I think this is what you are looking for. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 heure (2015-07-08 08:30:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- It can also mean 'promotion', but I'm not really sure that's appropriate here. For me it is all about developing the district. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 heure (2015-07-08 09:09:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Maybe you should go with the word 'improvement'. |

Site regeneration value-added Explanation: I think you are on the right track with regeneration. "Development" doesn't quite capture the aspiration to change the whole region in this context, and "Upgrade" is more for phones or flight tickets imo. Example sentence(s):

land regeneration Explanation: It could be this. It reminds me of the run-up to the London 2012 Olympics; we were bombarded by the term "regeneration". |

local/district regeneration Explanation: Regeneration is certainly the term to use for this type of project. Given "L’ambition de la CATF est de créer un vrai quartier urbain autour de l’équipement phare ... " it is local or district regeneration. www.echarris.com/pdf/nextregeneration_final.pdfsetting up arm's-length bodies, to deliver local regeneration strategies. • Local authorities must also engage with local developers to test emerging masterplans .. www.rother.gov.uk/article/287/Local-Regeneration-ProjectsLo... Reference: To illustrate what it is not, but what is is close to Reference information: The term “valeur foncière” here illustrates the meaning of "foncier" in such contexts. I'll get to "valorisation" later. Back to "foncier now. It does pertain to land, and although there may be building, or the remains thereof on that land, it is the land itself which is meant by the term "foncier". That needs to be conveyed here. Although "property" can include land, buildings or describe one or the other, the essential meaning of "foncier" does come down to land. http://www.lamy-expertise.fr/definition/valeur-fonciere.html La valeur foncière est la valeur d'un terrain. Elle est le plus souvent analysée en fonction de son potentiel de construction futur. La valeur foncière s’obtient en particulier par la méthode d'évaluation dite “méthode promoteur” (cf. définition “méthode promoteur”). Following on from the value of the land, is how that value can be enhanced, improved upon by development. Is doing so the land is "valorisé". The enhancement will generally increase the value of the land financially, but here the valorisation (a term which does exist with the same meaning in English, by the way, although it is used much less often in this type of context than in FR) is in the eye of the final user... end eventually in the mirror of the proud local politicians! ;-) |
