Explanation:
"Distal" means "situated away from the center of the body or from the point of attachment," so this would be a pulse at the far end of an arm or leg. "Peripheral" means at the periphery of the body, so it has a meaning quite close to "distal." Google the phrase "peripheral pulse" and "distal pulse" to see examples.
