A "fordulat" itt nem jogi terminus, hanem mondattani azaz nyelvi fordulat értelemben kell megfelelőt találni rá, akárcsak a "bekezdés" / "paragraph" vagy "mondat" / "sentence" esetén. A "fordulat" angol megfelelője ez esetben szerintem a "phrase". Szövegezésről szól a forrás: "...bekezdés ... mondatának ... fordulata" - "... phrase of the ... sentence in ... paragraph"

neutral  Annamaria Amik: Habár ez a szó szerinti megfelelője, a phrase inkább szókapcsolatot jelent, szerintem itt nagyobb egységről van szó. A clause-t viszont én is kerülném, mert megtévesztő a jogi konnotációja miatt.//A te példádban nyilván, de ott nem számolják :)

Amikor egy rendelkezés vagy törvény mondatában fordulatot említenek, akkor általában egy másik valószínűségről van szó. Pl. Ez a rendelkezés vonatkozik azokra, akik jövedelemadót nem fizettek 2013 és 2015, de adófizetési kötelezettségeik alól felmentést kaptak, valamint azokra, akik az elmúlt 5 év során eleget tettek adófizetési kötelezettségüknek, de korábbi adóhátralékukat nem egyenlítették ki.
Amint látjátok ennek a mondatnak négy része van. Ezek a részek nem nevezhetők clause-nak, mert a clause külön mondat és csak akkor volna clause, ha a példamondat két mondatból állna. Nem nevezhető part-nak, mert ha second part-ról beszélünk, akkor az a "de adófizetési kötelezettségeik alól felmentést kaptak", hiszen mondattanilag ez a második rész, de mégsem második fordulat. Phrase-nek pláne nem nevezhetjük, mert a második phrase ugyancsak a "de adófizetési kötelezettségeik alól felmentést kaptak". A fordulat egy mondaton belül az option vagy alternative. Nagyon fontos ez a kiemelt rész, hogy egy mondatban, mert ha ez különálló mondat, és az külön alternativát jelent, akkor a kodifikáció szabályai szerint számozzák. Tehát a kérdéses kifejezés: (2) bekezdés első mondatának második *fordulata* = option 2 covered by the first sentence in par. (2).

neutral  Ildiko Santana: Jogi szövegben (is) "part" pusztán "részt" jelent, nem nyelvi fordulatot. Példa phrase-re (expression is jó): Section 200.12 is amended by removing from the first sentence the phrase “and District Administrators” www.sec.gov/rules/final/2008/34-57877.pdf

  -> Szerintem a fordulat itt sem kimondottan (állandósult) nyelvi fordulatot jelent. A phrase-zel az a bajom, hogy nem igazán számolható, számozható egy mondaton belül (second phrase???), ezért találom jobbnak a "part"-ot. De biztosan van más megoldás is.
