as above amended Explanation: Sorry, but, regardless of anything, the Portuguese clause “ressalvo a emenda supra” is inconsistent. Had it been correctly worded, it could be translated to "The above is hereby amended", or “The above is hereby changed.” However, I feel a US notary public would simply make one of the following relevant notations: “amended as above, or "as above amended". It’s just a guess: The notary office’s clerk had initially keyed in “avós paternos” – translated to “paternal grandparents” – then, after noticing the mistake, he or she amended the wording to read “avós maternos”, translated to “maternal grandparents”. |
