shunting Explanation: Yard Shunter Training Shunter training is aimed at drivers who do not hold an HGV licence but are required to 'shunt' vehicles etc. around on company premises. Shunter training allows these drivers to drive maximum weight articulated and rigged vehicles on-site only around the business premises. Every year a number of people are killed and seriously injured by vehicles on company sites. This course trains staff to shunt vehicles safely and avoid accidents. NTP carry this course out on-site using your vehicles. We will cover safe movement, observations, signalling and the dangers to ensure your shunter drivers have the skills and knowledge to carry out their duties in a safe and efficient manner. During the course drivers receive training on techniques to move large goods vehicles around the company premises and off road parking areas and learn best practice skills to ensure the safety of yard personnel, other vehicles and property within the area. http://www.drivers-training.co.uk/yard-shunter-training.html -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 59 mins (2015-05-27 13:17:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- For Ansatzfahrer, you could use 'depot driver', though this is normally associated with the railway. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 days (2015-06-10 17:44:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Was this proposal useful? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 57 days (2015-07-24 10:57:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- |
