Posting an alternative doesn't mean I disagree with yours and it's not meant to be unfriendly. James has suggested another approach, which also seems valid to me. It's good to have a range of options to choose from, both for Marian on this occasion and others in the future.

It's ok, I'm really not offended, honestly :) But I never advocated word-for-word translations (obviously not the case as the only direct translation I used here was 'identificar').

I just prefer it, that's all. It's no big deal. It's just an alternative. Don't be offended :) But I do think the idea of one-to-one literal mapping (if it says compartir we have to put share, if it says identificar we have to put identify) has no sound basis.

"Identify with their objectives' is perfectly acceptable usage in this context. See the refs I've provided. The original Spanish could have said 'compartir objetivos' instead of 'identificar objetivos' but it didn't, so I don't see the point in changing a perfectly suitable verb for a synonym. And to me 'heartfelt support' sounds a bit too much, like something you might say to a bereaved family.

The use of "mismo/a(s)" should be avoided in good Spanish usage

A pesar de su extensión en el lenguaje administrativo y periodístico, es innecesario y desaconsejable el empleo de mismo como mero elemento anafórico, esto es, como elemento vacío de sentido cuya única función es recuperar otro elemento del discurso ya mencionado; en estos casos, siempre puede sustituirse mismo por otros elementos más propiamente anafóricos, como los demostrativos, los posesivos o los pronombres personales; así, en «Criticó al término de la asamblea las irregularidades que se habían producido durante el desarrollo de la misma» (País [Esp.] 1.6.85), pudo haberse dicho durante el desarrollo de esta o durante su desarrollo; en «Serían citados en la misma delegación a efecto de ampliar declaraciones y ratificar las mismas» (Excélsior [Méx.] 21.1.97), debería haberse dicho simplemente ratificarlas;...
