This translates into higher costs of imaging services, delay on diagnostic evaluation appointments and, In consequence, there is a late detection of illness such as breast cancer |

delayed/postponed diagnostic appointments Explanation: I think this sounds more natural than "delay on". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 42 mins (2015-05-01 13:39:38 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Or maybe "assessment" to avoid repeating "diagnostic". |

long waits to obtain diagnostic testing appointments Explanation: I realize that "diferimientos" does not translate literally as "long waits," but this is how it's usually said in English. It also ties in with "En consecuencia la detección tardía de padecimientos como es el cáncer de mama." The consequence of patients experiencing long waits to get diagnostic test appointments is late detection of diseases such as breast cancer. |
