Im Gegenzug ist die spätere Rentenzahlung einkommensteuerpflichtig und unterliegt grundsätzlich zudem Beiträgen zur gesetzlichen Kranken- und Pflegeversicherung. Entgeltumwandlung ist verfassungsgemäß, insbesondere mit Art. 12 GG vereinbar[1].
