"(...) I follow her to a big tractor-trailer that's parked near the ambulances. It's sitting there on its own without a RIG, which in a depot mustn't be anything out of the ordinary, but I notice that it's a refrigerated trailer. (...) When I open the doors, I realize it's a portable morgue."

Pelo que entendi, o rig é o veículo motorizado que puxa o reboque (trailer). Neste caso, o reboque está sem o rig.

Devo simplesmente traduzir "rig" como "caminhão"? Ou "caminhão" é o nome do composto inteiro (rig + trailer)?
E "reboque" seria mesmo a melhor tradução para "trailer", mesmo neste caso onde o reboque é um compartimento refrigerado? Trata-se de um "necrotério portátil" como o personagem diz, onde a polícia armazena corpos recolhidos após um grande tiroteio.

Agradeço a quem puder me explicar melhor esta nomenclatura (em pt-br) de um modo geral.
