According to the Country-by-country survey 2007 there has been some major changes in the Danish ownership conditions due to some takeovers. The two state owned commercial companies DONG from Denmark and Vattenfall from Sweden are dominating not only in the market for electricity but stands together also for approximately 60% of all produced heat in CHP-plants in Denmark in 2008. For example, the Swedish company Vattenfall and the Danish com- pany DONG supply the municipality owned network in Copenhagen with hot water. Although commercial players, both Vattenfall and DONG only produce electricity on a commercial basis selling the residual hot water on a non-profit basis to the Copenha- gen network and other networks and act thus on the wholesale market. The so called autoproducers in figure 4.7 contribute however with an increasing share especially the autoproducing CHP units. These autoproducers generate this heat as part of a process that not originally has as a purpose to produce heat. These units are also players in the wholesale market.

Здравствуйте!
Предлагаю свой вариант из соседнего вопроса (district/central heating) — ТЭЦ (теплоэлектроцентраль). По информации доступной в сети, и DONG, и Vattenfall владеют тепловыми электростанциями (на территории Дании и Швеции), тепло которых и продают/используют для отопления.

Autoproduction of electricity is production of electricity for a consumer’s own use on a single premise. This arises where an electricity consumer has an onsite generator to provide a portion of their electricity needs. This onsite generator is not operated as a backup generator at times of grid outage – rather it displaces imports from the grid on a day to day basis.
