Sigo con el mismo libro de la pregunta anterior. Aquí quiero confirmar más que nada, la traducción que elegí. A ver, pone:
"X, on the other hand, knew nothing about Mexico, and he was only just learning the distinction between multiculturalism and diversity. If he bumbled over to the Mexican flag for this ceremony, he’d look like a *leach*."
El contexto es una escuela para hijos de expatriados, el personaje del que hablamos es un chico de secundaria. American English.

Esta última parte la traduje así:
"Si se arrimaba a la bandera mexicana para participar en la ceremonia, quedaría como un colado."
Es aceptable traducir "leach" como "colado"? Las únicas traducciones que encuentro son más bien técnicas y hablan de "lixiviación", cosa que evidentemente no va aquí (ni sé lo que es).

Si el contexto exige un registro más neutro, en lugar de "jeta", "aprovechado" o "caradura"

Otra posibilidad sería traducirlo como "lapa", suponiendo que la palabra original fuera "leech", o sea, algo pegajoso que no te puedes quitar de encima.
