thanks. I translated it the way I found it in other articles. It's an expression the Pope used on many occasions and apparently it's been been translated before with the "culture of encounter". Literally the sense is a culture that values the encounter (meeting, coming together... like the beatles song ;)). Anyhow, that's what I used. cheers.
