Per traslato, il termine indica perciò una domanda di grandissima importanza. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 19 min (2015-02-22 14:47:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Il termine, nell'inglese USA, indica anche il quadro generale di una situazione. Tuttavia, in questo contesto, non avrebbe senso, e in tal caso, secondo me, non sarebbe stato comunque riportato tra virgolette. Queste ultime, a mio avviso indicano proprio l'utilizzo figurato di questa espressione in riferimento a una domanda cruciale e importantissima. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 ora (2015-02-22 16:20:10 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Appunto come quella che di solito viene definita la "domanda da 100 milioni" o "dalle 100 pistole" ("pistola" era anche un'antica moneta).
