Italian term or phrase: legame azionario
I am wondering what the specific English term is for "legame azionario"; my research efforts have so far drawn a blank.
TIA!

cross holdings

Explanation:
In Italy these "legami" are very common with companies holding shares in each other as happens also in Japan (see quote below)

Investopedia defines the term, but from a US viewpoint where they are not very common.

Financial Times:
For years, Japan’s dense network of cross-holdings has been seen as more of a liability than an asset, as companies have been forced to book valuation losses amid persistently weak markets.

Investopedia defines cross holdings of simply one listed company holding shares in another listed company. "Wall street words" defines it as two companies holding shares in each other. Either way the term cross holding is used.
