Project Freight - Project Forwarders work in a very specialised area of shipping. Project Forwarding describes a service that goes beyond standard freight forwarding, often involving the transport of heavier or more complicated goods.

Project Forwarders might work to oversee the movement of cargo such as heavy machinery, military equipment, yachts, aerospace equipment or structures such as oil platforms or buildings. Project Forwarding is often a turn-key service where cargo is taken ‘door to door’. (C’est moi qui souligne)
http://www.alchemyrecruitment.com/shipping-and-logistics-job...

project freight forwarding
transport de fret de projet

Explanation:
It's very difficult to find an authoritative reference for this word in French, not least as international freight is dominated by English. Nevertheless, I finally found a company web site - see below - that has both an English and a French version. That's not a guarantee that nobody calls it something else, but I think it should be understood.

project freight forwarding services
services d'agents transitaires / service d'acheminement de marchandises

Explanation:

Mieux encore, Termium propose :

freight forwarding service – service d’agents transitaires
marshalling and/or freight forwarding service - service de mise en ordre ou d'acheminement de marchandises affrétées
http://www.btb.termiumplus.gc.ca/tpv2alpha/alpha-fra.html?la...

Contract description: Freight forwarding services comprising the receipt at the main international ports of entry…

How does one define Project forwarding? Someone once said the difference between project forwarding as opposed to other forms of freight forwarding is that for general forwarding the client might say when can I deliver my goods to you, whereas for projects the forwarder says when can I collect. Our definition is slightly different. We believe the best definition of project forwarding is “A door to door transportation service where in most instances neither the collection or delivery locations are the premises of the client” (i.e. Equipment supplier to fabrication yard)...
http://edelweisslogistics.com/site/index-L1.html
