French term or phrase: Produit en Citerne
this term is used in an agreement within the Canadian Maple Syrup industry. Is this shorthand for "camion-citerne"? Or could it be generically referring to "Bulk Product"? or more specifically to "Product in Tankers" or "Product in Tanker Trucks"?

Here's a couple examples of usage:

"Le Produit en Citerne est mis en marché exclusivement par la Fédération conformément à la Convention"

" À titre expérimental et sous réserve de la disponibilité du produit, l’Acheteur autorisé du Produit peut choisir le(s) Producteur(s) lui fournissant du Produit en Citerne."

This is not AFAIK specifically CA terminology, it is very common here in FR too to shorten 'camion-citerne' to just 'citerne'.

Even if it meant 'delivered into a tank' (as my gas is!), it would still have to be delivered by a camion-citerne!

However, I don't think in EN we would be so specific about the delivery method, so unless you have some other instance of 'produit en vrac' etc. for which you need to reserve the term'bulk', it's what I would prefer here.

Transported in a 'bulk tanker', of course.

neutral  Tony M: Those would be terms about producing the maple syrup (note that 'vat' is usually 'cuve'), not delivering it.
