Marketing - Cosmetics, Beauty / eau de toilette
French term or phrase: au parfum d'interdit
From a description of an eau de toilette for men with extract of absinthe as its main ingredient;

'Un hommage à cette plante mythique, muse des artistes, au parfum d’interdit et aux propriétés aphrodisiaques.'

My try is 'with a hint of forbidden pleasures', but I'm wondering if this is a bit over the top for an eau de toilette. Has anyone got a better idea? Thanks in advance!

  -> I love your 'frisson' Phil, but I guess one would have to rework the whole sentence more in order to slip that in in a way that sounds natural :-)

Explanation:
I agree with Helene's answer, but you may prefer this slightly more colourful and alliterative suggestion.

Frisson
A brief moment of emotional excitement: shudder, thrill. "Produce a genuine frisson of disquiet."
