Dutch term or phrase: reststroom
I have my own ideas on how to translate this, but am wondering what people here think. Easy punten dus, or should that be ‘Dus easy punten’ ;) ? I'd also like to get it in the glossary for future Googlers.

Some context:

"XXX is producent en leverancier van secundaire (bio)brandstoffen en grondstoffen, afkomstig uit groen- en houtafval en hoogcalorische reststromen, voor duurzame professionele toepassingen in China, Schotland en Polen.

De kernactiviteit behelst het hergebruiken en omzetten van blad en grasachtige biomassa reststromen naar herbruikbare deelstromen."

residual stream

Explanation:
according to this TNO text (admittedly probably a translation, but sounds OK): https://www.tno.nl/en/focus-area/healthy-living/food-nutriti...

"The food industry is committed to sustainable production processes. Residual streams that are currently unsuitable for human consumption can sometimes be upgraded by removing certain components. This approach allows such streams to be made suitable for human consumption."

So can't be regarded as waste product really.

process waste streams

Explanation:
This would be another option to consider.

There are quite a few relevant examples to be found on the internet. Here's two of them:

Algal biomass produced through the capture of process waste streams for beneficial re–use can be used as a supplemental animal feed in agricultural applications

Membrane filtration is very effective in removing bacteria and other impurities from protein. There is also protein to be recovered from many process waste streams.

residual waste fraction

Explanation:
Many hits with residual waste and fraction/fractions. There is also a tendency to make waste into a plural: wastes that refers to different types of waste since waste in itself is already plural.
