Spanish term or phrase: escrito reflexivo
Pls see below thanks - reflexivo within the meaning that some thought had been given to the actual text or email sent as I understand it

I just saw in a previous question that this is an e-mail insulting people?

maybe

"considered" would be better than "well-reasoned" if that's the case

agree  Robert Forstag: Fine (or, perhaps, "...in his carefully considered written statement...." / Thank you. Ideally at least, this is what translation should be all about (i.e., critically evaluating a text that is already good and making it even better). All the best!

-> thanks! I really like your tweaking "carefully-considered written statement..." would seem to fit here.//if only everyone had that attitude:-)

neutral  Billh: considered maybe but it still may be badly reasoned or thought out
