French term or phrase: contrat solidaire / contrat responsable
In French health insurance, it seems there are two types of contracts / agreements:

Contrat solidaire [solidarity contract / joint contract?]
Contrat responsable [single contract / manager's contract?]

Does anyone know the difference or how this would be expressed in English?

Thanks

English translation:contrat solidaire et responsable
Explanation:
Assuming that this is correct and not another new form of contract(s) then I think you can only keep the French and give an explanation, this sort of of top-up health insurance simply doesn't exist under the UK system.

It's not a misunderstanding. The document I was reading referred separately to a contrat solidaire and a contrat responsable. I do agree though that the only way forward is to keep the French and explain. Many thanks!
