Polish term or phrase: wygodnictwo
Any ideas on translating the Polish word "wygodnictwo" as a character trait? Defined as: laziness combined with egoism; choosing to do what is easiest for oneself, even at the cost of others. I've considered "self-serving" but this is an adjective and not a noun for the trait I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

You can add some "choice" adjectives to make
crass opportunism or use other intensifiers.

self-serving nature/character

Explanation:
I do like the pejorative overtone of "self-serving", and none of my other ideas seems to capture that.

Do you think you could maybe use it this way in your translation?

sybaritism

Explanation:
Sybarytyzm – leniwy, wygodny tryb życia w luksusach i dostatku; wygodnictwo.
Termin pochodzi od starożytnego greckiego miasta Sybaris, którego mieszkańcy wiedli dostatnie życie, folgując wszelakim przyjemnościom.

------------

A Sybarite was a native of Sybaris, an ancient Greek city in southern Italy.
Sybarites were stereotyped as seekers of pleasure and luxury, and "sybarite" and "sybaritism" now connote such sensualism.
