French term or phrase: Résidences
[La compagnie] se fait le garant d’un service personnalisé de haute qualité avec pour villégiatures, des ***résidences***de caractère où s’exprime le seul luxe qui demeure aujourd’hui véritable : du temps pour prendre soin de soi.

I am unsure how to translate the word Résidences in this context. As it relates to tourism marketing I assume it refers to hotels or appartments. I don't think "residences" is a suitable solution. But what is the best way to express it?

Accommodation
Explanation:
A fairly safe option in tourism. There may be something more accurate or enticing, if that is what you're looking for, but this is what immediately springs to mind.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Interesting. It's perhaps a choice between accommodation and properties

Notes to answerer
Asker: A home sounds a bit too permanent. we are talking about villegiatures which are holiday locations where you can get some additional personalised services. I guess yoga classes, massages etc

neutral  Tony M: I don't think 'homes' really works well in a tourism context (it would be more appropriate for something like 'Home & Garden'). Regardless of the context, I just don't think 'home' is generally suitable in EN in a tourism context.

-> We can only guess given the dearth of any real context.

neutral  writeaway: basically just buildings with holiday flats. context is clear enough. no need to guess

Properties

Explanation:
Won't work if it needs to include tree-houses, teepees and yurts but does comfortably include villas, apartments etc.

Résidence can also include lotissement type housing.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Definitely a possibility as the type of holiday location is unspecified. Could be hotel, spa, or holiday flats and property is unspecific

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
neutral  Carol Gullidge: not wishing to be impolite, but properties normally refers to something you own. There is no implication of ownership here (afaik) unless there is some suggestion of co-ownership - no mentioned in the context

agree  Lori Cirefice: Properties could also fit the bill - considering the context, I politely disagree with Carol ;-)
