value

Explanation:
...always based on the full population surveyed to arrive at a comparable and relevant value.

The values (as percentages) are based on the "overall population" of the survey.

i.e. the staff of selected or specific garages Population is a term used in statistics to describe what marketing peoples also call a "relevant set".

Notes to answerer
Asker: I will have to think about whether values makes sense. The respondents, however, are garage staff (of select garages, I think, i.e. not necessarily representative of the totality of Germany's garages).

Asker: Apologies, I made a mistake. So your use of population is in line with the industry jargon (I had erroneously understood you were using the word based on its general meaning ("Bevölkerung" in German)). Sorry for that.

Asker: This whole kerfuffle of my doing guesswork all the time with this job is due to the fact that I am working outside not only our core fields, but even outside our working fields as it came from our customer's trademark department (so we couldn't say no when it came).
