Crew area on boats and aircraft Explanation: This link implies that items used in el "rancho de naves" are still liable to export tax. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 30 mins (2014-12-21 12:30:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Although it helps you a big fat nothing with whether your list refers to that or some sort of "storage park" for ships/aircraft (when are they kept together?) Is this list in subsection, what's the overall document about? Reference: http://orientacion.sunat.gob.pe/index.php?option=com_content... |

International port of entry for ships and airplanes. Explanation: http://www.aduana.cl/compendio-de-normas-anexo-51/aduana/200... The list seems to be different points for entry of different countries. |

supplies to ships and aircraft Explanation: It refers to goods arriving at Chilean points of entry and which will be transferred to international ships or aircraft without entering Chilean territory (at least, from a customs and excise point of view). A common example is concerned with the many cruise liners that visit Chilean ports. The cruise companies supply their ships from their home country, and send container-loads of stuff by cargo ship so they are ready and waiting to be loaded directly onto the cruise liner when it arrives. The containers are stored temporarily on the quay-side, do not go through customs, and are loaded directly onto the cruise liner while the tourists are getting ripped off in town. There are two such categories in the Chilean customs list, the one mentioned here in the question, the other being 'COMBUSTIBLES Y LUBRICANTES DESTINADOS AL CONSUMO DE NAVES Y AERONAVES DE TRANSPORTE INTERNACIONAL'. The purpose is obviously very similar, although the rules and regulations will be different. |
