I'm not sure there's any point putting it as an answer - it's not the kind of thing anyone is ever going to look up in the glossary. Why not just close it as "answer found elsewhere"?

Yes I agree, which is why I originally went down that route but in fact the client has confirmed that its simply that they have removed the mention of the techniques from the label.

Afraid I don't know what it means or how to translate it, but there are many ghits to indicate that this is indeed a particular technique or set of techniques.

Could it be about the way the knife, brush, pastel etc. is pressed into and then lifted from the support at the end of the stroke?

What's interesting is that "techniques enlevées" doesn't feature here - so just maybe it is as Phil said, they've removed the techniques, tho I don't see they should bother saying so, just confuses the exhibition visitor (and the translater). I've sent a question to the agency and will let you know the reply.

Very pretty (tho' the croc who lost its skin probably wouldn't agree)! So you'd say the "techniques enlevées" are things that have been removed from the box - could it be the "technical" bits you see in the picture of the box open???

What have you found in relation to painting?
I think this is more likely to be a large box than a bag. I've been looking for pictures, and that's what Vuitton was making at that time.

This is the final item on the list of material used in the fabrication. Its a new label being created for a new exhibition so no reason to refer to having removed the techniques from a previous label.

I've found "techniques enlevées" referring to painting, but am having difficulty seeing how this fits ...

Very tricky. My only thoughts are: could it be referring to some sort of embossing, despite the verb being totally wrong? Or saying that the techniques used to make it have been removed from the description on the museum label (which I think is what you were saying Phil)?
