Mouse prediction (angle snapping, drift control) is a type of path correction in mouse sensors that assists you in drawing horizontal or vertical lines (useful for graphical applications). If your mouse has prediction, the sensor will predict when you attempt to draw a straight line and correct any movement that drifts away from that line. This is not an accurate representation of your movement, so most people prefer to play without prediction.

If you want to see the level of prediction that your mouse has, open mspaint and attempt to draw a straight line.

In most cases you cannot change the level of prediction your mouse has. However, some mice like the razer deathadder come with firmware updates that can enable/disable prediction.

Mysz posiada nieznaczny poziom predykcji. Każda kolejna linia od góry była robiona z co raz większą prędkością. Widzimy że dopiero w dwóch ostatnich poziom "prostowania linii" jest zauważalny. Rysowanie okręgów nie stanowi większego problemu.
