tenere in piedi la facciata Explanation: Da una rapida scorribanda al link riportato (pagine immediatamente precedenti la frase in questione) mi pare di capire che l'ufficio esiste davvero, fisicamente (ovvero non è fasullo né, come avevo pensato all'inizio, "a tempo/noleggiato/virtuale), però è solo di facciata, uno strumento per far soldi (dati raccolti alla *bip*, firme falsate, le "belle gnocche" assunte come coordinator, ecc...). Si dice anche che ai due compari non importa un fico secco dei pazienti e, cito testualmente, "Borison, employees said, rarely bothered to show up at the office". Ergo il concetto, IMHO, è: lui in ufficio non si vede praticamente mai (eccerto, non gliene frega niente), però alle visite dei controllori è presente - per far vedere che è tutto a posto, che lì si porta avanti ricerca seria, che non è solo facciata, appunto... |
