Unfortunately I can't ask the client and the translation had to be delivered 21/2 hours ago. So I indicated that I wasn't 100% certain of the translation. There were also several handwritten words I didn't manage to decipher. Always the problem when its a rush job, Canadian FR to US English when the agency knows I'm not a medical specialist and I'm FR FR to EN UK. But such is life ...

Thanks but I feel this is very specific to eye examinations whereas the terms on my form were for everyone who arrived in casualty. I don't think the EDD in your document would be part of the standard observations (T°, heart rate etc).

Hi Jane, here is a document where both EDD and EDP are mentioned. I cannot figure out if this relevant in your context, meaning if these parameters are measured after a head injury.

This is definitely what it is, it is one of elements forming part of the - Echelle canadienne de triage et de gravité - which determines how long a casualty patient can wait before seeing a doctor (along with T°, BP and all the other factors I listed which end up giving a specific scale grade).<p><p> So very many thanks to all those who helped out.

http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=... so now I've found a blank sheet which is similar but more detailled and has a whole section on <p><p> Evaluation de la doulour<p><p> and includes <p><p> EDD 1/10<p><p> So unless anyone tells me this is totally wrong I shall go with pain evaluation (which as we all know is on a scale of 1-10).

Not that I am aware, it was produced by Média Med Technologies and has a reference number at the bottom - 288043.

EDD appears twice. Once at the top in the section headed Signes Vitaux Initiaux. Then again at the bottom along with :

Heure - TA - FC - FR - T° - SpO2 - Glasgow - Gluco. - EDD - D.E.P in neither case has the box been filled in.<p><p> I was thinking along the lines of état de ... but have come up with nothing.<p><P> My daughter is a GP and trained in France (so has done several stints in Casualty) and has drawn a blank which is why I think its probably specific to Quebec - but no luck on Termium either.
