German term or phrase: St. Klosterblüten
Hello,

These appear in a list of ingredients. I can't find a meaning in English. Does anyone happen to know what these are?

Thanks

English translation:Hyssop
Explanation:
German name Ysop - aka Klosterkraut and Josefskraut.

Quite a bit of guesswork here, though I could well imagine that the citrus-minty-peppery flavour could be good with all sorts of dishes or scattered on salads.

Similar to mint, flowers and leaves are edible and are used for their flavouring, cleansing and medicinal properties

The French name is Herbe sacrée - sounds pretty religious, too.

Other German names are Kircheneisbeth, Klosterhysop and Klosterhyssop
