Buongiorno a tutti, sto traducendo un brevetto che si intitola "LED socket assembly". "socket" si traduce normalmente con "portalampada", o anche presa, ma mi domando se questo valga anche per i LED.
Ho considerato anche "supporto per chip di LED" ma mi sembra suoni piuttosto male. Ho visto che nei forum di illuminotecnica spesso utilizzano il termine inglese, ma non l'ho mai trovato in documenti come tesi di laurea, per cui immagino esista una traduzione. Se qualche esperto del settore mi potesse illuminare gliene sarei davvero grata.

Finora non avevo mai sentito parlare di zoccoli per led, ma sono quasi convinto che, come per i circuiti integrati, la traduzione di "socket" sia "zoccolo". Basandomi sulla mia esperienza di perito elettronico posso dirti che gli ingegneri parlavano di zoccolo per circuito integrato in riferimento a "IC socket". In ogni caso, sia per i led sia per i circuiti integrati si tratta di un supporto che permette di inserire/togliere il componente in un circuito.

Asker: Ciao, grazie per la risposta. Però "alloggiamento" è da escludere perché poi all'interno del testo si trova "socket housing". Avevo pensato "attacco". Purtroppo però ogni scelta ha dei riscontri non troppo convincenti e contrastanti tra loro.
