English term or phrase: expert & specialist
São as guidelines para fazer um "Expert Technical Report", diferenciando claramento o expert (responsável pelo report) do specialist (que pode assumir alguns campos do report em que o expert não tenha the appropriate competence).

Minha dúvida pe se 'perito' fica muito judicial para expert, e se existem outras alternativas...

"Perito e especialista", como um dos colegas sugeriu, também me parece correto, mas se não quiser usar "perito" pode sempre optar por técnico, já que o seu texto fala de um "Expert Technical Report".
É mais uma sugestão.

agree  Danik 2014: Perito eu associo muito com perícia judicial. Com certeza, mas para mim tem uma conotação mais "policial". Técnico me parece um termo mais neutro e mais abrangente.

  -> Muito obrigada Danik. Sim, parece que há muitas pessoas que fazem essa associação... mas um perito pode ser também alguém que faça a peritagem de um veiculo, por exemplo :) Sim, é mais abrangente e como o texto alude a relatório técnicos é + uma sugestão.
