If the maximum moulding rate of DISA MATCH 32/32 of 80 moulds per minute is to be achieved, there are only 9 seconds available for core setting in each mould. In order to expand this time window, the option of an automatic core setter (Fig 6) may be selected. This operates on a principle similar to the DISAMATIC core setter. The core is placed in a prepared core mask and held there by means of a vacuum. The core setter is fully integrated with the moulding machine's working sequence and extends the time window for inserting cores to 36 seconds in the case of the moulding speed mentioned. If the core setter is used in the much faster DISA MATCH 130, which is able to manufacture up to 120 moulds per hour using the core setting function, the time window for setting cores expands from only 3 seconds (without additional core setter) to 20 seconds.
