Reference: http://www.lumiere-spectacle.org |

selector panel Explanation: It is a control console. A separate cable is run from the main transformer in a building to each floor, say, rather than having a single cable leaving the transformer, with connections on each floor. |

control board Explanation: According to termium: jeu d'orgue = lighting control board but this is perhaps not necessarily lighting so just a control board Here they only use it for lighting but differentiate the control board (jeu d'orgues) from the console (pupitre) le jeu d'orgues (commandes de l'ensemble des lumières d'une salle de spectacles) à l'aide d'un pupitre de commande (informatisé ou non) http://www.cv.com/fiches-metiers/spectacle-rome-212/ROME-212... The diagrams on pages 7 and 8 of the following pdf document show the differences between the two types of installation http://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=... |

radial scheme Explanation: "Radial scheme: each LV panel at each floor has a dedicated connection with its corresponding switchgear at the main LV distribution panel in the basement" Here is a document In English by the same author as in the reference document (French): http://admin.copperalliance.eu/docs/librariesprovider5/power... |

If power is brought into a building at utilization voltage, the simplest and the lowest cost means of distributing the power is to use a radial circuit arrangement. The radial system is the simplest that can be used, and has the lowest system investment. It is suitable for smaller installations where continuity of service is not critical The low voltage service entrance circuit comes into the building through service entrance equipment and terminates at a main switchgear assembly, switchboard or panelboard. Feeder circuits are provided to the loads or to other subswitchboards, distribution cabinets, or panelboards. Figure 1 shows the two forms of radial circuit arrangements most frequently used. Under normal operating conditions, the entire load is served through the single incoming supply circuit, and in the case of high voltage service, through the transformer. A fault in the supply circuit, the transformer, or the main bus will cause an interruption of service to all loads. A fault on one of the feeder or branch circuits should be isolated from the rest of the system by the circuit protective device on that circuit. Under this condition, continuity of service is maintained for all loads except those served from the faulted circuit. http://cmsapps.sea.siemens.com/controls/speedfax07/07Speedfa...
