The context you provide is strange. Why would someone file a redacted indictment (one that has parts of it crossed out, such as names and addresses) after having filed an original one (implying no redactions) unless the former serves to supersede the latter?

Are you are sure the "redacted indictment" has no other purpose other than to hide what was previously unhidden? Or is there another piece to the puzzle?

This a Grand Jury Indictment. REDACTION is vey specific in criminal terminology. The Redacted Indictment is not ammendd or modified is REDACTED. It is a version without very specific wording or text temporarily taken off the original Indictment.??
