worker/operative Explanation: I think the hierarchy goes the other way (to Gaurav's suggestion): Cadre - management Maîtrise - technician/line supervisor Exécution - the "worker" level. I believe "operatives" is used for this level in the manufacturing industry. A company governance document I worked on recently used the hierarchy "Cadre, Maîtrise, Ouvrier/Employé" and the top-down hierarchy was clear. |
