German term or phrase: gute Tageskondition
I think I know what this is, and the context seems to make it clear - though there are very few if any hits for it in the usual places. So I thought I'd post it for easy points and to add it to glossary for future. Plus some of you might have nice ways to phrase it

It's in a letter to new employees about a forthcoming psychometric test they have to undergo:

"Was soll ich zum Verfahren mitbringen?

Einen Stift, einen Bleistift und eine gute *Tageskondition*.

Sie sollten gut ausgeschlafen, gesund und in guter Form zum Verfahren kommen. Bitte bringen Sie keine Notizzettel und Blöcke mit, Sie bekommen alles im Raum von uns, denn es dürfen nur speziell vorbereitete Materialien und Notizblöcke in diesem Verfahren verwendet werden. "

Sorry for delayed selection - been busy- but thanks everyone for your suggestions.
I liked this one best (the variant ending simply 'and yourself, in [OR on] tiptop form' in the end. An alternative would be a combination of this with David H's suggestion (and yourself, fit and ready to go).
Here are my reasons:
- It includes a noun phrase, required by the question, which some of the answers don't.
- For me, it matches the level of 'gute Tageskondition' without overdoing it. This was important for two reasons: first, 'Tageskondition' reads to me as a fairly mild and sober term; and second, because the whole document is on the dry side and a very flamboyant rendering here would not work so well in context.
- Although I agree that it implies that you should arrive well-rested, the following sentence states this explicitly and so some of the suggestions would make the translation repeat itself.
- This has a nice idiomatic quality.

good stamina and engergy for the day

Explanation:
That is an interesting one indeed. Perhaps the following would work: A pen, pencil and some good energy and stamina to get you through the day.
It definitely makes no sense as a literal translation.

Example sentence(s):
  • A pen, pencil and some good energy and stamina to get you through the day.

It has allowed me to be free to experience and love life, with purpose, without baggage and with a whole different energy! Much more joyful, bouncy, vibrant and with bags of vitality.

Your best day form

Explanation:
"Bring a pen, pencil and your best day form"

Even though 'day' is used in a slightly different way than in the German (which focuses more on stamina), it still gets as pretty close to the original without being wildly inaccurate. Compare with link below:

"Use your best day form.
Whenever possible, utilise your day form = the time/s of day when you are in better form to do your prioritised tasks."
