Assim, uma tradução possível para a frase "a imaginação transvê" é "imagination sees transcendentally". Podemos também tentar encontrar um verbo significado para este "vêr transcendentalmente", que esteja associado á função "vêr" da imaginação, e que se enquadre no poema: idealizar, idear, conceber, etc.. Então, podemos traduzir para "imagination envisions" ou "imagination ideates" ou "imagination conceives". Neste caso concreto, eu interpreto que Manuel de Barros refere que os artistas, mercê e através desta "transvisão", devem "desformar o mundo", isto é, devem descontrui-lo e voltar a construi-lo com novas formas ideais/inéditas, fruto da sua imaginação ("cavalos verdes", por ex.). Neste âmbito, e até já fazendo alguma alusão aos versos seguintes, julgo que até é possível traduzir a frase "a imaginação transvê" para "imagination recreates" (a função transcendental da imaginação é precisamente recriar, cada pessoa vê o mundo à sua maneira, e é a isso que o poeta aqui apela aos artistas) |
