It's not the diploma of Hippolyte because the postman asks about Hippolyte's exam being soon.
The "rouleau" looks like something along the lines of a flimsy newspaper, or publicity.
Definitely not a cardboard roll or scroll (too flat and squashed, looks like paper, no signs of a roll).

(depending on what period this is?) it might be 'loose' folded newspapers, as distinct from a rolled up one, suggesting a specific subscription, say to some national publication? Like "Just the papers and your usual magazine..."

C'est pour du sous-titrage. Oui il y a des alternatifs, mais le plus difficile c'est de peut-etre ne jamais savoir de quoi il s'aggissait.

C'est pour ça que je pense qu'il s'agit du fameux diplôme roulé dans un boîtier de carton pour qu'il ne soit pas abîmé avant d'être affiché au-dessus de la cheminée!! ;-)

Pour sous-titrage ou doublage, donc ? Si vous ne savez pas exactament de quoi il s'agit, on peut très bien metre un : "...et ceci...", par exemple.

The scene is about 72 minutes into the film. Hippolyte is having a private lesson in another room. He is soon to sit his exam (in a few days maybe).<br />
The postman walks into the bar. Maria greets him and tells him she hopes there isn't a lot of bumf in the post. The postman replies that it is indeed mostly bumf, before saying "Tiens! Voilà des journaux, un rouleau et des lettres..." and producing a roll similar in same size to a rolled-up newspaper.

Maybe it's simply something she ordered for the bar, or paper for Hippolyte.
