A hearing is to be granted to the opposing party / the other party Explanation: "Correr una audiencia" is translated as "grant a hearing" in this dictionary, and it certainly fits the contexts in which this expression is found: "1) Correr audiencia al interesado por una plazo máximo de 10 días; 1) Grant the party concerned a hearing within a maximum period of 10 days;" http://diccionario.reverso.net/espanol-ingles/correr audienc... In this previous question, our colleague Lucía Colombino came to the conclusion that "El Tribunal corre audiencia" means "el tribunal le da una audiencia a la parte para que..." http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/law_general/297... |

The other side is hereby put on notice to enter an appearance Explanation: in two days' time. 'Does it mean that the opposing party has to be served notice of the hearing within two days? or does it mean that the hearing has to be moved ' - maybe the first permutation with qualifications. namely to enter an appearance to make representations, enter a defence, comment or 'join issue upon the case'. I'm unsure it is 'to be put in the defence' in the future. Reference: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/law_contracts/1...
