Explanation:
la scelta del traducente migliore dipende però proprio dalla parola di cui la persona sta chiedendo il significato.. è una parola inusuale? un tecnicismo? una parola straniera?

se devi localizzare verso l'italiano puoi usare "nella lingua di Dante" o Manzoni.. o .. se ironico "secondo l'Accademia della Crusca"

tutto ciò per dire che ci serve maggior contesto per suggerire una soluzione più azzeccata e meno generica

ad ogni modo, secondo me c'è un gioco di parole con il "Queen's English" ovvero un modo (a volte sarcastico) per definire l'inglese parlato/scritto in maniera formalmente corretta

povere come quelle della Bibbia, semplici da capire (qui c'e' pure un'implicazione culturale, Dio che parla l'inglese, quasi a legittimare la superiorita' della lingua e della cultura, anche se l'espressione non e' usata molto in Gran Bretagna)

Un'alternativa che, mi pare, rimane abbastanza vicina all'originale. Forse non più tanto usata, ma anche quella inglese non credo sia molto in voga ormai, o no? Che tipo di testo è, un romanzo? Ambientato quando?
