En todo caso se trata de alguien que enseña algo y que tiene un grado menor al de "Profesor". (Ver definición del Merriam Webster Dictionary y del Oxford Dictionary). Quizás también te ayudaría hacer una búsqueda con el nombre de la academia en internet para ver de qué tipo de cursos de trata.
