A bit worried I might be missing something here, so I'm posting to check.

The text is talking about the multiple uses for old tyres, including what I presume is a kind of fence/barrier made of tyres linked together like a chain. Other uses include bases and stands for sunshades, traffic signs and the like.

I would appreciate any contrary opinions, and, if you do agree with my interpretation, suggestions for the best way to express this.

Further to that is the eternal debate about whether "llanta" which is the object being reused, is tyre (I'm using British English), wheels or wheel rims...

Hope you've all recovered from the football by now.

agree  Charles Davis: I think so, yes, and the tyres can be used as stands to support the posts between which these chains/barriers are strung. // It doesn't sound very decorative, no. Perhaps they paint them or something.

-> Though I can't imagine a pile of old tyres being used as a support in an airport. Surely they must melt the tyres down and 'do' something with them to make the post look pleasing to the eye. Thank you, Charles :)
